Château de Sannes, in the Luberon

A stone’s throw from the hilltop village of Ansouis, in the south Luberon, the Château de Sannes is a wine estate with innovative ideas and a splendid château to hire for special events.

The Château de Sannes is a stunning property owned since 2017 by Pierre Gattaz who came with big plans for the estate. Plans for the French businessman and his family, of course, who have made this 17th-century château bordered by grounds and French formal gardens their home. As well as plans to introduce organic farming to the 74 hectares of land surrounding the property, mostly planted with vines and olive trees. To allow visitors to immerse themselves in the sheer beauty of the countryside all around, he also imagined a range of special tours and activities.

A wine cellar and shop were added in 2020 to complement the wine tour and tastings available. Guests can also explore the educational trail by foot or choose from a host of other activities.

On the programme:
Singing, yoga in the vineyard, a guided walk with a druid to commune with nature, introduction to bee-keeping, visit to a windmill, open-air concert, musical cocktail hour, and more.

Good to know

The property is also available to hire for weddings and other special occasions.
