In the countryside near Lourmarin, the Mas de Guilles**** has just been renovated following a change of ownership.
The rebirth of a charming hotel
This dream location lies just 2 kilometres away from the town of Lourmarin and boasts stunning views over the rolling hills of the Luberon region. The 3-hectare park is the perfect place to settle down in a lounge chair and forget the hustle and bustle of the outside world, and the 17th-century stone mansion is separated from the accompanying building complex by a maze of flower-lined paths. With all of this, it is not difficult to fall under the spell of the 4* hotel Mas de Guilles, which begins a new chapter of its story following a takeover in spring 2026.
The renovation work initially focused on the shared spaces, and in particular the restaurant ‘Les Terrasses de Guilles’, which has taken on a new look whilst retaining its bistronomic spirit, rooted in the seasons and local produce. Guests are served in the vaulted dining room or on the terrace, where the view of the surrounding countryside promises magical evenings.
Facilities
A new wine bar has been added to enhance the experience, offering a welcoming space dedicated to exploring Luberon AOC wines and those from neighbouring regions. In addition, a small seminar room (15 people) makes the establishment an ideal venue for executive board meetings and brainstorming sessions in the countryside.
The 27 rooms, all air-conditioned – including two accessible to guests with reduced mobility – will be refurbished at a later date.
A spa, an outdoor swimming pool with a bar, 8 Moustache electric bikes available for hire, 1 tennis court and pétanque courts round off an offering in keeping with its new 4* rating.
